Yesterday I got a call from Swiss television asking me if I’d like to be the equivalent of a “Nielsen Family” for the Internet.
The idea is, they’d send me a program to load on to my computer, and I wouldn’t have to do a thing after that. The program would keep track of the sites I visit, how long I spend at each site, how often I go. And then send the info to the company. And I “wouldn’t have to worry about a thing”.
The goal? To make the Internet… better, somehow.
Isn’t that a great idea?

omg, I wouldn’t do that for anything. Maybe if I was a nun or something.
gawd I would never sign up for that ….
they would find out I sometimes look at the Fox News website
Fantastic idea. After all, who needs privacy anyways… it’s so passé, isn’t it not?
I had to laugh. Today (last night) on the CBS Evening News there was a report about cyberspying in China. Apparently, the Chinese can use your cellphone as a bug.
I think I’ll embed the video.
Good God, I wouldn’t want anyone poking around my habits.
Would this mean they could see all the dirty pictures you look at?
They’d know every site I visit and how often.
It’d be like signing up as a volunteer for Patriot-Act surveillance.
