  • Oh, that's why 'Turner Classic Movies' is showing Russian movies.

  • I hope you put your decorations back up.

  • Ummm...I'm working on Easter.

  • The Christmas tree in la Palud is still up. I wonder if it's a real tree?

  • It's a real tree.

  • Today TCM channel is showing Elvis movies all day. (a King-a-Thon) It's his birthday.

  • Darn! And me who forgot to make my annual koutia.

The tree on La Palud is very nice (and La Palud is very nice with that tree). It's all lighted just right now.

Speaking of koutia, I was wondering if there was a traditional and typically Swiss Chrismas meal or dessert? Just curious.

  • Oops, Christmas lost a t over the Atlantic.

  • I suppose it depends on the region.

Here at my house the traditional Christmas meal is turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, vegetables, gravy...

Traditional xmas breakfast is kranjske klobase.

  • I gather your house is not the "typical" Swiss household. Then again as you mention, with its different "cultural" regions, I guess there probably isn't any (common I mean) Those sausages seem delicious. There's a Slovenian meat shop on boulevard St-Laurent (aptly named Slovenia) and I know they sell sausages. I'll try to check it out.

  • See if they have potica.

  • Got kranjske. Don't know yet if it's klobase cause I don't know what's klobase. No potica around. Didn't seem to know what I was talking about. My Slovene is not very good. There's a Slovenian woman working at a dollar store near my pad but she wasn't there today. I'll ask her when I see her but I'd be surprised there would be a Slovenian pastry shop in Montreal. On the internet, they say it takes 4 hours to make, so this option is not in my plans.
