  • Yes, he does appear (well, sound rather) quite young in this recording. He was quite a hunk of a guy in those days. Women were all drooling over him, especially radio and other media shows hosts. Guys, I don't remember. Have you ever heard Réveille! sung by him? He sang it at the first ever World Congress of the Acadian diaspora, held in Moncton in 1994. The white banners bear the family names of those who were deported in 1755 and painstakingly managed to come back years after. It was a highly emotional moment. I was there.
