Do I have this right? Lausanne is the capital of Vaud which is a canton of Switzerland and Moudon is a municipality of Vaud.
This is so... small-town Mexico, you have no idea. I need this too. Europe and Mexico have this great trait in common: they are not located in screwed-up superficial North America. Both share a sense of long-term history, and it shows in events like these. It's not put up front necessarily, it just stems from them. Hope you have (oops... had) lots of fun.
The whole thing looked medieval. I doubt they (ie, medieval-ites) were all that calm.
And yes, you've got it right. Moudon is a commune.
And I'm now a huge guggenmusik fan.
Love that 'marching band' sound. The drums especially.
