I never thought about it before but swimming pools are like giant toilets. So is the ocean but not as cramped.
I was looking up 'chapeau' on the nets and found this;
Some forms of bicorne were designed to be folded flat, so that they could be conveniently tucked underneath the arm when not being worn. A bicorne of this style is also known as a chapeau-bras or chapeau-de-bras.
Exceedingly serendipitous.
I know.
One of Napoleon's bicorne is on display at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts. It's a donation by Ben Weider, who was very much into the development of big "bras" (as in arms, of course) and a Napoleon freak. I saw it when I went to see the Warhol exhibit. It shows its age (the hat, not Warhol, although...).
ryc: yes it was - I almost wished it had gone one for another 10 minutes to see if Manchester could come back
Im now thinking little round Matt might win Masterchef
Also why do you have a semi naked woman on your blog? I opened your page the other day in a place where I am know - I was hideously embarassed - that sort of thing could destroy my reputation (what's left of it)
ryc: yes well the british don't like a smart ass - the losing team will by definition now be much more popular. It doesn't help that she is awfully embarassed about being terribly good - that's not the done thing either. Also under NuLabour we don't really do excellence in this country anymore. We aspire to the mediocre but even that might be setting our sights a bit too high *sighs*
