I would have to buy; vanilla, cornstarch, coconut, nuts and condensed milk. I have a little plastic container of frosting all ready to go.
When I was a kid I use to make all the family birthday cakes from cake mixes. I remember making the German Chocolate frosting from a dry mix in a box. I had to melt butter in a pot. Good times.
I may make a chocolate cake just to be able to use that frosting, you know?
The frosting is the best part of German Chocolate cake.
I have a cinch that this chocolate cake of yours wouldn't be the Duncan Hines sort of thing.
I don't think I've ever eaten a German Chocolate Cake, but seeing pics of it on the internet makes me want to migrate to Switzerland for a day. BTW, I saw on the same internet that Roman's cottage is not that far away from your pad. Plan to pay him a visit?
It's in Gstaad. It's not that close (suissement parlant).
Which reminds me. Couleur3 is live from Montreal (among other places). The Montreal guy today - some singer - sounded funny. Sort of charming.
From the C3 site, it could be Damien Robitaille. He's a French-speaking Ontarian now living in Montreal. He's very weird. In a very good way, charming? why not!
The songs from his first album (2006) are available in extenso on his site (may I suggest Mètres de mon être, Je tombe (was a big hit here) and Électrique). This last one is particularly "jouissive" as per kinky usage of words. I find him pretty sexy but unfortunately, he's got this thing for girls... like he likes them.
I guess I'll have to settle with "lighting my candle", as he says.
