I enjoyed watching that video, the flute player in particular (but not exclusively, the sitar player is pretty masterful too). I found out on WikiKnowsAllOrJustAboutIfYou'reNotFussy that Shashank Subramanyam was a musical whiz kid (when he was a kid, now he's just a whiz ), and that the "carnatic flute" was a "venu" in sanskrit. I'd like to learn more about that culture (yours?) but it seems to me terribly complicated in the sense that imho, for a North American like me, it can only be attempted by moving there for at least six months to a year, and even then... And since this is not very likely, especially given my age and general condition...
