  • “I fully expect to direct prosecutors to seek the death penalty against each of the alleged 9/11 conspirators,” said U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder.

    Wrong.

  • The Democrats have had 10 months to fix all this.  Shame on them.

  • This is what I woke up to – in my head.

I was hoping my doggie would get into this song but he slept through it.  (Because it was only in my head).

  • Guess what.

    is enough.

  • “I want the cute.”

    “You can’t handle the cute!”

Things I’ve learned this week by watching tv:

    Britain is full of paedophiles.

So many English and Welsh people are paedophiles that the British government now insists that everyone who might have anything to do with children – even if it’s just car-pooling after school – is to be vetted and put on an official list of non-paedophiles.

(Scottish children being particularly unattractive, the government has decided there is no point in extending the rules farther north.)

I presume the official non-paedophiles will get a certificate or a badge of some sort which they will have to display whenever they get near a school or playground.

Joe Wilson and I are not that different.

For eight years I shouted “You lie” at the tv every time Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Ashcroft, O’Reilley, et al. came on.  And now I shout “You lie” every time I hear a “conservative”.  So I can’t pretend to be too shocked when Wilson does it.

And I’ll admit.  If Bush had wanted to talk to my kids, I’d have had the Brits check him out first.

DAB is not necessarily better than FM.

Especially if one wants to walk around in the woods.  So buying the iRiver B20 was not a wise move.  Particularly since just two weeks later I ordered the new iTouch.  Which I should have tomorrow, and for which I’ve already downloaded loads of free apps.

Troops are easy to see killed.

    Nineteen-year-old kids less so.

    A medal doesn’t replace a 19-year-old kid.

    Unless you’re a Republican.

  • I just watched Milk. I cried from beginning to end.

Carter was a good president.  Certainly better than anyone who came after him.  (Present president excepted, for the time being.)

Anita Bryant and bin Laden have this in common:  They tried to ruin it for others.

    Lots of nasty people.

    Sean Penn was excellent, btw.
